Ethiopian Orthodox Worship, Meal & Talks

Berwick church is hosting an Ecumenical Service which willinclude chanting and prayers from the Ethiopian Orthodox tradition. FatherAbate and participating priests and deacons of the Ethiopian Orthodox Churchwill attend.

This will be followed at 12.15 by a buffet lunch in thechurch with an Ethiopian vegan menu.

After lunch there will be a short presentation regardingenvironmental protection around Ethiopia's Churches and Monasteries, stemmingfrom their theology. Following this, there will be a presentation from Destafeaturing their current work in the context of ongoing conflict, particularlyin the north of the country. Their video presentation conveys something of thespirit of resilience and positivity of the people.
